What is ViewPoint Quantum?
ViewPoint Quantum is the latest version of ViewPoint, Octagon’s enterprise process management solution that helps life sciences companies manage, automate and control critical processes such as document authoring, submission publishing and compilation, and other complex, document intensive processes.
We are using an earlier version of ViewPoint. If we upgrade, what is the process?
Octagon’s ViewPoint Implementation Services Team will collaborate with each client to develop and execute on a plan that ensures a successful upgrade to ViewPoint Quantum. Our expert consultants use a proven methodology to assess the client environment and determine the approach that supports client goals in a timely manner.
What happens to the ViewPoint Reviewer?
ViewPoint Reviewer offers web-based access to the submission and any issues that have been identified for the project. However, with ViewPoint Quantum these capabilities can be expanded and are controlled by permissions. If you want to provide Reviewer type access to a project, you have the ability to create a user with those specific permissions enabled or disabled. This approach allows greater flexibility and provides consistent access to users. Users who previously used Reviewer can now have defined access to any project including in-process documents or dispatched submissions by simply adjusting permissions.
Can you tell me about the publishing capability in ViewPoint Quantum?
ViewPoint Quantum offers proactive, process aware and just-in-time publishing capabilities. The publishing functionality is accessed through a simple user interface with a familiar metaphor. The ViewPoint Quantum platform enables users to automate publishing processes and create workflows that connect document publishing to the authoring process. Publishing workflows can be configured to automatically direct documents to appropriate resources rather than waiting on manual intervention. ViewPoint Quantum also manages and controls issues that arise to ensure optimization of the larger integrated process.
